About Us

Unity for Liberty is not a political party. We are just a bunch of concerned citizens, angry and frustrated at the Government's arrogant disdain of the ordinary New Zealander evidenced in the passing of the Crimes (abolition of Force as a Justification for Child Discipline) amendment Bill. We are organising for the purpose to promote action and intelligent persuasion to bring the necessary pressure for change from our politicians. Democracy in New Zealand is suffering from an illness, which if not addressed will become terminal for generations to come. This illness is called apathy. By supporting Unity for Liberty you are taking a step toward breaking the cycle of apathy that has led to the abuse of our democracy from our political leaders.

Unity for Liberty is an entity to promote and co-ordinate the efforts of various individuals, interest groups and organizations that uphold traditional family values, liberty and democracy in order to obtain an effective network. Our objective is to utilize that network to mobilize concerned citizens in a series of awareness campaigns. Initially, the focus of the awareness campaigns will be on the anti-smacking law and the goal to collect the required target of signatures for Larry Baldock's petition for a citizen's initiated referendum to bring change to this intrusive piece of legislation.
