Our awareness campaigns will have two distinct operational phases. The first phase, our Local awareness Campaigns, will focus on local areas until the required signatures have been gained. The second phase will be national campaigns leading into the next election.

The benefit of the Local awareness Campaigns is to transfer the debate, which has until now been limited to central government and mainstream media, into the local communities.

The Local awareness Campaigns

  • The optimum approach is to stage two FEET ON FOOTPaTH campaigns two weeks apart.
  • The purpose of the first campaign is to prime the community for the second.
  • The intention of the two-week separation between the campaigns is to allow us sufficient time to promote an open-air rally following the second campaign.

What is a Feet on Footpath Campaign?

The first activity will require volunteers to be pedestrians, walking or standing on the footpaths of the selected campaign area. These volunteers will carry petition forms and small placards ranging from “Sign the Petition”, “No to Nanny State” to “Good Parents aren’t Criminals”. The purpose of this approach to the awareness campaign is that as the local residents go about their morning business, they should be confronted by at least 10+ messages. We want to be the talking point in at least 80% of all the homes in the area. For example - 300 people spaced at 1 km apart. The campaign will cover 300 kms within the selected area.

an Open air/public rally

With permission from appropriate authorities, we will extend an invitation to local residents via local media inviting them to attend. Unity for Liberty will also extend invitations requesting speakers from all organisations, political parties plus individual celebrities who have already defended the authority of parents in their homes.

We want local communities to relate the issue to those who have already defended our rights.

Note: Campaign strategies may vary slightly depending on support levels and locations.
